Mission & Objectives
To be the lead association that represents waste contractors and recyclers, in Queensland, that delivers to its members real value in its ability to lobby, influence, protect and communicate core business related issues that will enhance, promote as well as advance the interests of the Industry.
Over the past 12 months we have achieved this objective and now represent more than 50 companies that operate in the municipal, commercial and industrial, construction and demolition, solid and liquid waste, skip and bins, used tyre transporters and recylcers, scrap metal, transfer stations, landfills, secondary timber reprocessors, co-mingled recyclables, heavy transport, sludges and related businesses in Queensland.
Office Bearers
The association has a dedicated Executive Director who oversees and manages all day to day activities and who is responsible for facilitating and co-coordinating the administrative functions, special interest working groups and general running of the association.
Executive Members
The Executive is made up by members from all members sized categories and all positions are rotated in a structured manner ensuring continuity of the business. All sectors of the industry are represented on the committee.
Code of Conduct
The intention of the "Code of Conduct" is to provide confidence in the ethical standards by which the Association's members operate, to all federal, state as well as local government authorities, agencies and departments, companies, sole traders and the public, utilising the services of company.
It is also the intention of this code to enable the Association to provide promotional opportunities of the services offered through membership and our sponsors and to deliver the desired goals and objectives of the Association. |
